PUZZLE RING MAKER .COM
4. Introducing Us
Thursday, 28 Mar 2013
Having worked as a Maths/Science teacher in the Public Education System in South Australia and elsewhere, I had absolutely no knowledge of metal-working or the accessory business before stumbling across an Israeli guy called Uri as he was street-selling on Lamma Island, which is close to Hong Kong Island. Not that I got any training from him, but just seeing what he was doing opened my eyes to a different world.

It was sometime before the year 2000, while playing with two lengths of silver wire, that I realized I was looking at the simplest form of a puzzle ring. Since that "Aha" moment, it has always mystified me why I appeared to be the only person on the planet who had re-discovered the principles of puzzle ring making. I mean, it is literally child's play, but there is clearly some kind of mental block that prevents people from doing anything more than turning out their own copy of the original 'Turkish' puzzle ring.

The only rings displayed on this website are ones that I have designed and made myself.

And once I have done my thing, my wife takes over.

Our online presence is entirely her doing, as is our ever-evolving website, for which she did all the programming. And not only all the programming but all the photography as well, plus whatever Photoshop work she felt was necessary.

We have only been selling online since January of this year (2013), and we have been slowly feeling our way ever since. We definitely don't win any awards for speed, but what we do, we do well. We couldn't do it any other way, being the fussy perfectionist we are.

What you have seen so far is only the bare bones of puzzleringmaker.com.

In other words,

"You ain't seen nothin' yet".
