From the beginning Maze was designed to be suitable for some kind of colour treatment → DARK MAZE
Because such treatments are typically susceptible to wear and tear, any ring they were applied to had to have some areas which were protected form the worst effects of abrasion, which is why its 'valleys' are so pronounced.
Eventually we realized that we should also offer Maze in a standard form, so here it is at last.
